Feel lucky? Hmmm....you have given me something to think about.

In the past I have always considered myself blessed to be a blessing meaning duty-bound because of the improbability of living in the USA. I am only a third-generation American, all my great-grandparents were born and lived in Canada. Two of my grandparents were Americans and two Canadians. Both of my parents were born here. They all struggled with poverty. I have never struggled for survival, have never known hunger or need of any kind.

Lucky? No, I struggle with feelings of duty to give back and guilt. Oh yes, the predominant feeling is guilt. I suppose that feeling is the result of a RC upbringing. I have learned to go with the feeling rather than fight it.

Now that I consider your analysis of the probability of my existence in history and place, the guilt feelings have increased. Thanks Dr. Banach. Thanks a lot. (smile)
